My name is Ruth Crean and I made my first tentative steps with '...Nice Day Designs' in 2006. I started by doing free-lance graphic design, mostly for theatre companies and musicians in my home of Limerick, Ireland. I later progressed onto selling handmade cards and illustrations at the local Riverfest Market (held every Sunday on Bedford Row 12-5).

It was this year, 2008, that I began developing my life long hobby of tinkering with clothes. It all started when I was a child and my mother would give me the ends of fabric she was working on to make Barbie dresses for myself. Those initial experiments depended more on cellotape than any skill, but hey it was a begining!

So a funny mix of events got me back into it all( a costume for my sisters hen-night, lack of interesting clothes on the high street and finding an irressistably cute bag of buttons down in the local craft shop), and there you go I was back behind my mothers old brother machine.
